Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO) / Paint Thinner – Royaltec Paints  MTO is a clear, water-white petroleum-derived solvent chiefly made of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Commonly used as a paint thinner, cleaning solvent, degreasing agent, varnish thinner, and for industrial and domestic applications. Has a density around 0.775 to 0.86 kg/l depending on grade and batch. Flash point generally around 30–35°C. Used extensively in paint and coating industries, rubber processing, textile printing, and pesticide formulations.  Safety considerations include flammability and required use in well-ventilated spaces.
